2day is the most free day in Motorola,bcos my manager n one of the engineer that always assign job for me to work dint come. I feel very free and got freedom. This 4 weeks, i had handle drop test, GR&R leak test analysis by using Minitab and Manufacturing Process Specification (MPS) of NEO line and Broad storage.
For drop test, i need to prepare a report after i drop 10 walkie talkie (radio) from 4 feet. Each radio need to drop 7 loop and for 6 surface. Means each radio need to be drop 42 times. So i need to drop 420 times. After doing this, i feel very tired n many questions like y engineer need doing this stupid test? Y no crack appear on the radio after i drop? Y we need to do this by human? y dint use machine? This question also ask by my manager...i feel this time sure gai, y he ask me such stupid question? i really dunno how to answer. The report need to include problem background history , evaluation objective, test method n also result.
This report is the 1st report that got meaning to me since i study in USM. In my uni life, all report are copied n modify from senior. This is the 1st report that i do it myself without any reference report. I feel proud of it although this report always get reject n now still dint accept by my manager.
For GR&R and minitab, i still very blank about it. MK Yong is a master in polymer engineering n degree in mechanical engineering in USM. He assign me this mini project n i need to complete it alone. He ask me got main camp's library search info for this GR&R. Bcos of this project, all my weekend gone. However, i feel i learn many from that.
Life in Motorola is very busy, every ppl is busy with their job, very tension but i learn a lot. I always thanks my manager n Poh Ling give me this chance to complete my LI here. My manager not only assign works for me to do, he also teach me a lot things in the real working life. He sit down and talk patiently with me. I also thanks you to DR Cheong Kuan Yew that give me change from Fairchild to Motorola. He dint scold me that dun wan sch list and switch company .He say support me go Motorola. I also thanks myself bcos i know as human we need to try and dun easy give up. I had try to brave to meet DR Cheong and dint give up after many perli and negetive thinking from some ppl.
